Canon IXUS 50 digital camera review : Beginning of this year Canon introduced a complete new range of digital cameras, amongst them the new Canon Digital IXUS 50. This extremely compact digital camera, designed on the basis of the previously introduced Canon Digital IXUS 40, is placed in a neatly finished metal housing. Despite its small appearance the Canon IXUS 50 has more to offer than you'd think at first glance. The Canon Digital IXUS 50 doesn't yield in anything to his big brother the Canon IXUS 700.
Canon IXUS 50 - Successful
The Canon IXUS 50 digital camera is the logical next step in the flourishing IXUS digital camera range. The Digital IXUS guaranteed success from the minute the digital camera was introduced. If it wasn't for the compact size, then it was the beautiful design the consumer went for. And some years later we have come to the latest Digital IXUS sibling; the Canon Digital IXUS 50.
Canon IXUS 50 - DIGIC II processor
There are hardly any limits encountered when cropping a captured moment, thanks to the image sensor with 5 Megapixel resolution. The appliance of the advanced DIGIC II processor, which is also found on the latest Canon digital SLR cameras, makes speed a convincing term on the small compact IXUS camera. The second generation DIGIC II processor should guarantee improvements concerning colour graduations and precise white balance and should also enable complex processing algorithms without diminishing the overall performance of the Canon IXUS 50 digital camera. Moreover; the fast startup time and the high processing speed of storing the images will make photographing a pleasant activity.

Digital cameras: Transferring pictures from older digital camera to newer
1.You cannot write to a camera through the USB cable. The camera treats it as a one way street; from the camera to the computer. The camera does not want any outside source to write to the camera. If you have a card reader/writer, you can write to a memory card. But, it is unlikely that the camera will see anything that you add to the card. When the camera writes to the card it also updates the FIB (file information block) on the card, so that it can keep track of the pictures it takes. Also if you have ideas of taking a card from one camera and putting it in a different camera and taking more pictures to that card, you can get into trouble. Being two similar Canon cameras, it might work but I would suggest you make sure that you have a back up copy on the computer before trying it.The proper way to reuse a memory card from a different camera is to copy all the files to your computer. Then Format the card with the new camera before taking any pictures. The Format will deleted all pictures on the card.If you want to carry around pictures for others to see, I suggest you get a multimedia player.
2. want to do that ?It seems that you are going about the wrong way to achieve somethng .... Unless your camera can be used as a mass storge device (i.e. like a hard disk) which requires the installation of the appropriate drivers supplied with the camera, picture files cannot be freely transfered "in camera"-->
3.She's the type that will do that. She uses hers as a picture viewer and taker. With the 2GB card in the camera that's some 1000 pictures so it's a mom's idea of how to use this tech.Oh the days with your 35mm and rolls of 27 shot film. We used to think before clicking. Now it's click, click, click...Bob-->
4.I would never even think about keeping all my pictures on one card. But after hearing from people who want larger and larger capacity memory cards, it is apparent that many people do just that. But the frightening thing is, many of these people do not have a copy of the pictures on their computer or saved to a CD.Absolutely no back-up.That sends shivers up my spine.

The Chemistry of Laptop Batteries Explained
NiCad (Nickel Cadmium) This is the oldest technology and is the least commonly used nowadays. NiCad batteries are prone to the "Memory effect" and are heavier than the newer technologies. NiCad is not environmentally friendly chemistry as it contains heavy metals, which cannot be disposed of in landfill sites. Most manufacturers have stopped producing batteries of this type chemistry. As an end user it will be increasingly difficult to source these batteries. The best alternative is external battery packs.
NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) these batteries are less likely to be prone to the memory effect and have a much better power to weight ratio than NiCad. This is a commonly used chemistry. These batteries are also being phased out by most manufacturers. However, many have lithium-ion versions that are compatible. Always consult the manufacturer or a reputable laptop battery supplier.
Li-Ion (Lithium Ion) - This is becoming the dominant technology due to its excellent power to weight ratio. Such considerations are becoming more important as mobile devices become smaller and lighter and battery weight becomes significant. Another plus point for Li-Ion is that it doesn't suffer the memory effect at all. These batteries do have a tendency to lose charge quickly towards the end of their effective life span. If this starts to happen the battery must be replaced.
These three technologies are quite different in the way they charge and therefore should not be substituted unless the device has been designed to take different chemistries. The owner's manual will describe which batteries are suitable.

Care for Laptop Batteries
Lithium Ion notebook batteries wear down because of two factors:
1. active usage in your notebook battery
2. natural aging of the notebook battery
Both will wear down your laptop battery over time; the trick is to minimize their impact while still getting the performance out of your laptop battery that you need.
The most important thing to understand about laptop batteries is that they are always losing a small bit of their charge. The hotter the temperature, the faster notebook batteries loose their charge. So rule number one is: keep your notebook battery cool. Notebook battery manufacturers store their products at around 60F.
The second most important thing to understand about notebook batteries is that their capacity decreases with each cycle of charging and discharging. By itself, this is not surprising - but when combined with the previous point, it leads to a surprising conclusion.
When laptop users leave their laptop battery inside the machine but leave the computer plugged into the wall, the laptop battery is going through a constant charge-discharge cycle. The notebook battery is sitting unused inside the notebook, discharging a little faster than normal because of the notebook’s heat. Once its charge level drops to a predetermined level, the AC adapter provides extra juice to “top off” the notebook battery. As the laptop battery gets older, it tends to self-discharge a little faster, which accelerates the process even further…
Lithium ion notebook batteries normally offer 600 to 800 charge/discharge cycles over 1.5 to 3 years of useful life. When you use your notebook battery as described above, you are needlessly using your supply of recharges.
One additional note: many people recall that older notebook batteries on early computers worked best when they were fully discharged before being recharged. While that remains true for Nickel Cadmium technology, today’s Lithium Ion notebook batteries work best when they are recharged when they still have 10 to 20% capacity remaining. So if you are using your notebook battery on a long flight, try not to get in the habit of using the notebook battery until it has almost no charge. Your laptop battery literally won’t be the same when you re-charge it the next time.
Some Guidelines for notebook batteries:
1. Remember that new batteries generally arrive in a discharged state; you must charge them up for at least four hours before their first use.
2. Keep your laptop battery cool, but do not put it in the refrigerator or freezer
3. Don’t use the notebook battery if you don’t have to! Many people keep their laptop plugged in most of the time. They can preserve their battery life by storing the battery outside the laptop in a cool place.
4. Try to avoid running your laptop battery all the way to zero
5. Don’t charge your computer battery before long periods of inactivity
6. Much as we’d like to sell you more laptop batteries, don’t buy spare notebook batteries for later use. The longer you hold them, the less useful life they provide

Panasonic today announced two new additions to its LUMIX FS-Series of digital cameras, the DMC-FS7 and the DMC-FS15. The FS models, a stylish sister line of the highly-acclaimed LUMIX FX-Series, combine easy operation with a slim and sleek look, enabling both beginner and advanced users to take beautiful digital photos with a model they can slip in their pockets.
The 12.1 megapixel DMC-FS15 features a 29mm wide-angle Leica DC VARIO-ELMAR lens with a 5x optical zoom. Panasonic has enhanced the Intelligent Auto Mode (iA) on the DMC-FS15 from the previous FS models to now include AF tracking and Intelligent Exposure functions in addition to Mega O.I.S., Intelligent ISO Control, Intelligent Scene Selector and Face Detection. AF Tracking enables the user to “lock” the focus onto a moving subject. The camera then automatically tracks the subject as it moves, keeping it in focus without the need to hold the shutter button halfway down. Additionally, Intelligent Exposure helps capture natural-looking images by suppressing blocked shadows and blown highlights. It continually monitors the light source in the shooting environment and automatically activates the backlight compensation function if it detects the light source is behind the subject.
The 10.1 megapixel DMC-FS7 features a bright F2.8 Leica DC VARIO-ELMARIT lens with 4x optical zoom and iA mode, comprised of four functions including Mega O.I.S., Intelligent ISO Control, Intelligent Scene Selector and Face Detection. Like the DMC-FS15, the DMC-FS7 also include a newly-added independent iA button on top of the camera that lets the user enter directly into the mode without going into the menu.
“These new additions to the LUMIX FS-Series incorporate a number of enhanced quality and convenience features that provide consumers with simple-to-use, intuitive cameras at an affordable price,” said David Briganti, National Marketing Manager, Imaging, Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company. “By combining Leica lenses, Intelligent Auto Mode and powerful image processing with a sleek and compact design, the FS Series cameras are ideal for consumers looking to take easy, high-quality photos on the go.”
Other features of both FS models include a Venus Engine IV processor, which enables an advanced processing system and quick response times. An intelligent LCD screen detects light conditions and automatically adjusts the brightness levels for viewing in sunlight and helps to preserve battery life. The new Photo Frame mode lets the user put attractive borders around photos, so when printed, they look like postcards in picture frames. Also, the new My Scene setting lets the user assign their most frequently used Scene modes to the setting, and with a simple switch, access that scene instantly. The FS-Series is also capable of recording WVGA (848 x 480) motion pictures at 30 frames per second in 16:9 wide-screen format, as well as standard VGA (640 x 480) format.
The DMC-FS15 will be available in silver, black and blue at a suggested retail price (SRP) of $199.95. The DMC-FS7 will be available in silver, black, blue, pink and green at an SRP of $159.95. Both models will be available in late March 2009.

Point-and-shoot opreation, with 23 scene modes
Exilim EX-S5 Casio digital camera battery
From the you-can't-make-this-stuff-up file:
"As well as the rectangular focusing frame usually displayed on the LCD monitor, users can choose designs such as a heart or a butterfly for the frame design. When the camera is correctly focused, a beautiful heart can be displayed, and when correct focus is not achieved the heart pattern breaks up. This makes it easy to ensure correct focus, and it is fun, too."

SD/SDHC card slot
Uses NP-80 li-ion battery; no word on battery life
Ships in March for $180
Exilim EX-S12 [specs] - changes:
12.1 Megapixel CCD
F2.8-5.3, 3X optical zoom lens, equivalent to 36 - 108 mm
2.7" LCD display has 230,160 pixels
Exilim Engine 4.0
Even more scene modes
Exilim EX-S12 Casio digital camera battery

LAS VEGAS, NV, JANUARY 8, 2009 — Casio America, Inc. and its parent company, Casio Computer Co., Ltd., released some exciting details about its upcoming digital camera models today. Soon to be released are the slim, compact High Speed EXILIM models EX-FS10 and EX-FC100 featuring high-speed burst shooting faster than an SLR camera, and the EXILIM models EX-Z400, EX-Z270, and EX-S12, which make the most of Casio’s high-speed image processing engine to enable users to cut and paste moving subjects onto still backgrounds.
Casio has been a pioneer in digital cameras for over ten years. The new models maintain Casio’s long tradition of innovation and creativity. In 1995, Casio introduced the QV-10, the world’s first consumer digital camera with an LCD monitor so users could view the images they had just taken. In 2002, the company released the EX-S1, a card-sized camera so thin that it could be carried anywhere. In 2008, Casio launched the highly anticipated EX-F1 and EX-FH20, boasting high-speed burst shooting capabilities to ensure that users would never miss a crucial moment again, not to mention the ability to record high-speed movies that capture motion too fast for the human eye to perceive.
Casio’s effective use of fast digital technologies to deliver unprecedented high-speed burst shooting and high-speed image processing of these new models has exceeded all expectations of what digital cameras should be able to accomplish. These stylish cameras are the first bold step in a major transformation of the traditional definition of the photograph, offering users entirely new ways of enjoying still and moving images.
High Speed EXILIM models EX-FS10 and EX-FC100By reducing the size of the circuitry and the image sensor units, Casio has produced two very small cameras that offer a high-speed 30 shot-per-second burst rate and high-speed movies at a maximum of 1000 fps. The EX-FS10 is a card-sized camera just .64” thin, and the EX-FC100 is a compact camera that fits perfectly in the palm of the hand. These cameras also offer a number of other innovative functions including allowing the user to capture a still image while viewing the movement of their subject in slow motion and automatically selecting and saving one frame from continuous shots.
EXILIM models EX- Z400, EX-Z270, and EX-S12 Taking advantage of the high-speed image processing abilities of Casio’s state-of-the-art EXILIM Engine 4.0, which is built into these models, the new Dynamic Photo function allows the photographer to cut out the main subject of interest in an image that has just been captured and then combine it with another image to form the background. Users can also cut and paste several rapid-succession images to create a moving subject on a still background. This function makes it easy for users to create composite scenes from an image juxtaposition that exists only in virtual reality, or they can create a composite image that conveys a certain message. Casio technologies like these are creating whole new avenues of enjoyment that go far beyond mere picture-taking, delivering greater creative and viewing pleasure.
Casio has set up a special website (http://www.exilim.com/) that demonstrates many interesting ways to use the Dynamic Photo function. Following the release of the cameras, Casio will offer new services that expand the fun of the Dynamic Photo function
Also to be released at this time is the EXILIM EX-S5 — a camera with a compact body based on a new design concept — which makes high-quality photographic functionality simpler to use than ever before.
“Casio is dedicated to creating ‘out of the box’ features and new technology packed into our digital cameras,” said Bill Heuer, Vice President of Sales for Digital Imaging Division at Casio America, Inc. “We continue to be at the forefront of the digital camera market, providing new levels of convenience for the consumer taking photographs and shooting high-quality videos.”
The six new cameras will be available at retail in March. The EX-FS10, MSRP $349.99 will be available in blue, gray, red and white; the EX-FC100, MSRP $399.99 will be available in gray and white; the EX-Z400, MSRP $299.99, will be available in brown, gold and pink; the EX-Z270, MSRP $229.99, will be available in black, gray, gold and pink; the EX-S12, MSRP $249.99, will be available in silver, pink, green and black; and the EX-S5, MSRP $179.99 will be available in blue, black gold, silver, pink and purple.

Canon PowerShot A590 IS

What's in the Box?
The PowerShot A590 IS has an average bundle. Inside the box, you'll find:
The 8.0 effective Megapixel PowerShot A590 IS digital camera
32MB MMCplus memory card
Two AA alkaline batteries
Wrist strap
USB cable
A/V cable
CD-ROM featuring Canon Digital Camera Solution
209 page camera manual (printed)
Canon is really the only camera manufacturer still bundling a memory card with their cameras -- everyone else just builds a paltry amount of memory into the camera itself. They include a 32MB Secure Digital card with the PowerShot A590, which holds eight photos at the highest image quality setting. That means that you'll want to buy a larger memory card right away, unless you already have one. The A590 supports numerous types of flash memory, including SD, SDHC, MMC, MMCplus, and HC MMCplus. I'd stick with the first two, as they're the most readily available, and more likely to be compatible with card readers, printers, etc -- and go for one 1GB in size. While it's worth spending a little extra for for a high speed card, there's no need to go overboard with a 300X ultra ultra extreme card.
Like most of the cameras in the A-series, the PowerShot A590 uses two AA batteries for power. The alkalines that come in the box will quickly find their way into the trash (or better yet, the recycling bin), so you'll want to pick up a four pack of NiMH rechargeables and a fast charger right away. Once you've got those installed, here's what kind of battery life you'll get out of the camera:
As you may know, I'm a big fan of cameras that use AA batteries. They're cheaper than their proprietary counterparts, and you can use off-the-shelf alkaline batteries when your rechargeables die. All of the cameras in Canon's A-series use AAs (hence the name, I'm guessing).
Just because it's entry-level, it doesn't mean that the PowerShot A590 can't have a lot of accessories.

How to Get the Best Price on a Memory Card for a Digital Camera
With all the different digital camera memory cards out there and places to buy them, you may be wondering if you are getting the best deal. Here's how to get the best deal on a memory card.
Step1
The first important thing to know is that not all digital cameras will work well with all brands of memory cards even if it is the same format. Why this is I'm not sure but I've had this experience with my camera already. It is a good idea to find out if other brands of cards will work before you buy and if you are not sure, be sure you can return the open package if it doesn't. My advice, bring the camera with you to the store if you are unsure and have the sales person open it for you so there is no issue returning. You may have to actually buy it first but at least you'll have a witness that works there that it just didn't work for you.
Step2
Compare online prices before purchasing. Very often online retailers will offer lower prices online than in their store. If you're very lucky, they'll offer free shipping as well.
Step3
Ebay and Craigslist are great places to buy memory cards if you know exactly what you are looking for. Returning these cards may be difficult so keep that in mind before purchasing. If you buy a used card, it is very possible that the life of that card will not be very long.
Step4
Check your local newspaper and online coupon websites for deals. Some retailers will actually match their competitors prices. Bring the circular with you if you find a good deal somewhere else.
Step5
If you are purchasing several items in the store, do not forget to haggle a little bit. Many of these salespeople are getting commissions and your sale directly affects their paycheck. Salespeople are desperate these days to make a sale so there is a good chance that you will get a deal. Perhaps even something for free.
Step6
If you have good credit, some stores will offer you a discount if you apply for their credit card . If you are purchasing a lot of stuff, then this discount may pay off. Be sure to pay your balance in full if you decide to go this route.

How to Buy Digital Camera Batteries
Step1
To buy digital camera batteries, first open your web browser and go to digital camera battery online supplier's home page.
Step2
In the search field, type in the name of your digital camera model (for example, Canon Powershot A720 IS or Nikon D300) and then type the keyword, battery. This will bring up an extensive list of digital camera batteries for your model. Many of the digital camera batteries will be aftermarket or generic batteries, but they tend to be MUCH less expensive and many also boast longer-lasting charges.
Step3
Scroll through the list of digital camera batteries that are currently for sale. Read several auctions to get an idea of features, brands, and typical price range.
Step4
Once you choose your battery, it is a good idea to check the seller’s feedback to make sure they are a reputable seller of digital camera batteries. Look for lots of positive feedback, remarks about digital camera batteries performing well, and excellent customer service.
Step5
Bid on the camera battery auction or buy it now, depending on the type of auction.
Step6
As soon as you receive the battery, be sure to charge it fully and test it in your camera to make sure it works as advertised.
Tips & Warnings
· Be careful when buying aftermarket or generic digital camera battery. Be sure the battery is safe and will work in your camera. Just have common sense, do thorough research, and you will be fine.

How to Transfer Photos From a Digital Camera
Do you feel like throwing your new camera against a wall? You are not alone. While it is not technically difficult to transfer photos from a digital camera, the process is often not easy for some. Whether your software fails to work properly or your computer locks up, one or more of the following tips can help navigate you through the process.
Step1 Install your digital camera software before you try to transfer photos. Install the accompanying digital camera software first before attempting to connect the camera to the computer via an USB port. Even if you elect to use a different photo editing program, the accompanying CD may include needed software components for your PC. Additionally, check the camera manufacturer's website for updated software and camera drivers.
Step2 Install your photo editing software of choice as it may be designed to import photos from a digital camera. When connecting the camera to the computer you may be prompted by the software, or your operating system, as to how to handle the photos).
Step3 Select the lowest compression (fine) or highest resolution (RAW or JPEG format) on your camera prior to taking photos and before transferring them. This will provide you with the highest quality images which can be compressed for size in photo editing software. Adjust this setting if low resolution (such as for email) is desired.
Step4 Turn the camera on and plug the USB cord into the camera and an open USB slot on the computer. Follow the prompts from your computer. If no prompts are given, look under the "My Computer" icon (or equivalent) and look for your camera and files (designated by a Drive Letter). These files can be copied and pasted onto your hard drive.
Step5 USB memory card reader Try a memory card reader for a fast and easy way to transfer photos from a digital camera. Simply take the memory card out of the camera and place it in the slot. Follow the prompts in Step 4. Memory Card Readers may be found equipped with the computer, built into some printers or purchased separately and plugged into a USB port.
Step6 Uninstall pre-existing camera software, including web cams, if problems still occur. The conflict may lie with another camera-related program. After you install the new digital camera software and get it working properly, then try to reinstall older programs to get both to work.
Tips & Warnings
Use USB 2.0 technology for faster results as you transfer photos from a digital camera. This upgrade, if needed, requires an easy to install USB card or USB hub (multiple USB ports), widely available in computer supply stores.

What's the best battery?
Battery novices often brag about miracle batteries that offer very high energy densities, deliver 1000 charge/discharge cycles and are paper-thin. These attributes are indeed achievable but not on one and the same battery pack.
A certain battery may be designed for small size and long runtime but has a limited cycle life. Another pack may be built for durability and is big and bulky. A third may have high energy density and long durability but is made for a special application and is too expensive for the average consumer. A lithium-based battery can be designed for maximum energy density but its safety would be compromised.
Battery manufacturers are aware of customer needs and offer packs that best suit the application. The mobile phone industry is a good example of this clever adaptation. Here, small size and high energy density reign in favor of longevity. Short service life is not an issue because a device is often replaced before the battery is worn out.
Below is a summary of the strength and limitations of today's popular battery systems. Although energy density is paramount, other important attributes are service life, load characteristics, maintenance requirements, self-discharge costs and safety. Nickel-cadmium is the first rechargeable battery in small format and forms a standard against which other chemistries are commonly compared. The trend is towards lithium-based systems.
Nickel-cadmium - mature but has moderate energy density. Nickel-cadmium is used where long life, high discharge rate and extended temperature range is important. Main applications are two-way radios, biomedical equipment and power tools. Nickel-cadmium contains toxic metals.
Nickel-metal-hydride - has a higher energy density compared to nickel-cadmium at the expense of reduced cycle life. There are no toxic metals. Applications include mobile phones and laptop computers. NiMH is viewed as steppingstone to lithium-based systems.
Lead-acid - most economical for larger power applications where weight is of little concern. Lead-acid is the preferred choice for hospital equipment, wheelchairs, emergency lighting and UPS systems. Lead acid is inexpensive and rugged. It serves a unique niche that would be hard to replace with other systems.
Lithium-ion - fastest growing Lithium-ion battery system; offers high-energy density and low weight. Protection circuit are needed to limit voltage and current for safety reasons. Applications include notebook computers and cell phones. High current versions are available for power tools and medical devices.
Table 1 summarizes the characteristics of the common batteries. The figures are based on average ratings at time of publication. Lithium-ion is divided into three versions: The traditional cobalt that is commonly used in cell phones, cameras and laptops; the manganese (spinel) that power high-end power tools and the new phosphate that competes head-on with spinel. Lithium-ion polymer is not listed as a separate system. Its unique construction performs in a same way to cobalt-based lithium-ion.

Canon EOS Digital Rebel (EOS 300D) Review

On 20th August 2003 Canon surprised many people (not least us) when it announced its $899 / €1,099 EOS 300D (Digital Rebel). This digital SLR based on the EOS 10D's superb six megapixel CMOS sensor and image processor in an inexpensive consumer body similar to the film EOS-300. This camera is designed to take the prosumer end of the digital camera market by storm, everyone is fully aware of the image quality of the EOS 10D (considered by many as the benchmark six megapixel digital SLR), and so a consumer priced digital SLR based on the same sensor is irrefutably attractive to anyone who would have previously considered an 'all in one' prosumer digital cameras.
This camera is probably the most fundamentally important step for digital SLR's since the introduction of the Nikon D1. It will place digital SLR's into the hands of consumers (with a moderate budget) and will probably also have a very strong negative effect on the $1,000 prosumer digital camera market. Especially considering that the Kit price which includes the new EF-S 18 - 55 mm (3x) lens costs just $100 / €100 more.
The EOS 300D's plastic body is just one of the elements used to reduce the cost of the camera, others include the use of a pentamirror in the viewfinder instead of a pentaprism, a reduction of features (although I feel that much of this is simply firmware crippling) and a shifting of manufacturing from Japan to Taiwan. Additionally Canon say that they have altered the production process of the CMOS sensor to reduce costs.
To give the camera more consumer appeal Canon has also replaced the EOS 10D's neutral image parameters with a new default set called 'Parameter 1' which defines Contrast, Saturation and Sharpness as +1. Adjustment to Contrast and Saturation have the same power as the EOS 10D, however the EOS 300D's sharpness is twice as strong as the EOS 10D. Thus the EOS 300D's "Parameter 1" is the same as Contrast +1, Saturation +1, Sharpness +2 on the EOS 10D. The EOS 10D's 'Standard' setting is called 'Parameter 2' on the EOS 300D.
In addition to this the EOS 300D is the first Canon digital SLR to support a new lens called the EF-S (S = short back focus), this has the same mount and electrical contacts as an EF lens but has a rear element which fits further into the camera allowing it to be closer to the image sensor. The lens elements can also be reduced in size as the imaging circle does not need to be as large, thus EF-S lenses should be smaller and lighter than their 35 mm equivalents. Note that EF-S lenses can only be used on the EOS 300D (so far) as no other EOS camera supports the EF-S mount.
Review Update: February 2004
The original version of this review was based on a late pre-production EOS 300D, we have since received a final production camera and have updated and verified various sections of the review to ensure our results accurately reflect those of the production camera.
