Replacement Dell XPS M1210 Battery and original Dell XPS M1210 Battery

Q:The original Dell battery of my Dell XPS M1210 laptop is Dell XPS M1210 Battery li-ion, I want to buy an extra battery. There are compatible Dell XPS M1210 Battery which are even has higher capcity than the original Dell XPS M1210 Battery , Can I use them?

RE: If the Dell XPS M1210 Battery pack has the same voltage as the original one, and there's only an amperage difference, there should be no problem with using compatible batteries.Besides,the replacement battery is Cheaper than the original Dell laptop battery

Q:When replacing a lithium ion battery in a Dell laptop, is it ok to use a battery with a lower mAh than the battery that came with the laptop?I know it wont last as long, I just want to make sure it wont hurt the laptop.

RE: If the battery is identical in any other way beside the cumulative charge (mAh) there should not be a problem. In most cases the manufacturers make changes between batteries for different products, especialy if the products are from different levels.
