MSI wind u100 battery Running Time
The running time of the MSI wind u100 battery was recorded, under conditions stated earlier, Typical usage is as follows; web browsing, Office Software, Image manipulation Software and anti virus software. All of these softwares were used during the tests. We didn’t run games as Netbooks are not intended as gaming machines. Times were recorded using a timer program on a desktop PC and were recorded from when the power button was pressed up until the compute refused to run, ie when windows forced it into hibernation mode. The results are as follows;

Battery Eater is a program for windows which disables all power saving features, enables all devices and increases output of all devices to 100%. It is unlikely that you will use your Wind in this mode but it is a good bench mark for batteries.

Packaging and Mechanical
The MSI wind u100 laptop battery came very well packaged and you would be very unlucky if it was damaged during transit. The mechanical side of the MSI wind u100 battery seems to have been done very well, the battery fits perfectly and is secured in an identical way to the stock battery. Unlike other third party batteries I have bought, the battery is not loose when installed, is not difficult to push into the slot and was exactly the same as installing the stock battery. The Netbook is still comfortable when used on your lap as the battery doesn’t stick out that much, full marks for this.
